Agriculture
Plug it in. Prove every paddock kilometre.
Fuel used off public roads can earn credits. Proving how much is the hard part. M.A.T.E. Track records how your utes and 4WDs are actually used, on the farm tracks and on the highway and keeps a logbook that meets ATO requirements. Your accountant gets their own login and takes it from there.

Sound familiar?
- "I know we can claim fuel used on the farm. Proving how much is the hard part."
- "The utes are on the farm tracks all morning and on the highway by lunch."
- "Receipts live in the glovebox until BAS time."
- "I find out a service is due when it's already overdue and we're flat out."
- "Half the property has no signal, so tracking never worked for us."
Common things we hear from farming businesses. Not customer quotes.
Fuel used on the farm can earn credits. Can you prove how much?
Most farm utes work both sides of the gate every day and the split is what your accountant needs. Business and private trips blur together too.

Off public roads and on private roads
Fuel used in light vehicles for business can be eligible for fuel tax credits. Farm tracks, paddocks, sheds and private roads inside the boundary.
On public roads
Fuel used in light vehicles on public roads is not eligible. The highway run to town, the trip to the supplier.

- Credits you could be leaving behind
- $3,866 a yearBased on an example of 7,200 litres at 53.7c per litre*. At an average diesel price of 268c per litre, that fuel costs about $19,296.
*Rate varies. Based on the ATO fuel tax credit rate of 53.7 cents per litre for liquid fuels acquired from 3 August 2026, all other business uses. Rates are indexed and change through the year. Plug in. Drive. The records sort themselves.
Plug in the device
Into the diagnostic port under the dash. That is the only install and there is nothing for the driver to operate.
Draw your boundaries once
Properties, farm roads, sheds and fuel points. Change them later and past trips can be recalculated against the current boundaries, so a late zone does not leave a year of trips wrong.
Drive as normal
Every trip goes into a logbook that meets ATO requirements, split between farm and public road. Out of range, the device keeps recording and catches up when it reconnects.
Hand it over
Your accountant logs into the Accountant view and extracts what they need for fuel tax credits, fringe benefits tax and the ATO. Manually confirmed trips stay protected if you change the rules later.

The season
Services that fit the season, not the other way round
Sowing, spraying, harvest, calving, shearing. Mark the windows you cannot move, once and the platform plans around them.
- The clash
Harvest is the wrong time to find out the ute needs servicing
When a service lands inside a busy window, M.A.T.E. flags it and suggests a better time, usually earlier. You make the call. Safety jobs are never delayed.
- Before the gate opens
Run a season-ready check across the whole fleet
Across a group or every vehicle, so the work happens ahead of the season rather than during it. Book it for your own shed or an outside workshop, with costs attached.
- Properties and people
Set it up the way the operation actually runs
Vehicles grouped by farm, property or site, each with its own busy windows. Seasonal workers get a driver login showing only their vehicle and their tasks and it is removed when the season ends.
Illustrative demo account. A 12-month timeline per property, with jobs plotted over its busy windows.

Know the ute was checked, even when you weren't there
- Pre-starts you designYour own checks, per vehicle, due when you set them. Completion is tracked and an issue raised on a check becomes vehicle work rather than a note nobody sees.
